LG Electronics will showcase its ESG vision for a better life for everyone at CES 2023 | Jobs Vox

LG Electronics (LG) announced today that at CES 2023, it will present its ESG vision and its latest and most impactful innovations in a special exhibition called “A Better Life for All.”

Featuring a comprehensive overview of LG’s sustainability efforts, including ESG milestones, current initiatives and long-term goals, the “Better Life for All” area focuses on “For the Planet”, “For the People” and “Our Commitment It consists of three unique parts.

The exhibition will also feature four finalists for LG’s first LIFE’S GOOD AWARD. It aims to spread the company’s Good Life message and empower innovators seeking to make a positive difference to people and the world.

The key areas of LG’s ESG program are reflected in all aspects of the “Good Life for All” area. Informational materials provided in the area are offered in braille for the visually impaired and placed at a height that is easily readable by wheelchair users.

In addition to sign language-savvy guides on site, there will be an LG CLOi GuideBot programmed to provide digital human sign language services. The zone itself will be built with environmentally friendly materials.

The “For the Planets” section of the zone showcases LG’s multifaceted environmental initiatives, including creating a sustainable cycle that prioritizes “green” at every step of a product’s life cycle, including e-waste collection, disposal, and repurposing. post-consumer phase.

Visitors to For the Planet can see how materials extracted from discarded e-waste at the company’s Chilseo Recycling Center (CRC) are used to make components for LG’s new products. Also featured in “For the Planets” is LG Smart Park (Changwon, South Korea), the company’s energy-efficient plant, a new polystyrene foam (EPS) recycling technology developed by LG to make product packaging more environmentally friendly.

The second part of the exhibition showcases LG’s efforts and achievements in the field of accessibility of products and services “For People”. This includes developing product manuals that include voice and sign language guides, and implementing accessibility features such as voice recognition, voice guidance and motion sensors across a wide range of LG products.

For People will also allow visitors to explore the accessibility options available on LG TVs; from audio-text descriptions to sign language displays that can be easily moved and resized.

The third and final part of the “Good Life for All” zone, “Our Promise,” represents LG’s commitment to a sustainable future, which is the ultimate goal of the company’s “Better Life 2030” plan.

LG aims to reduce GHG emissions from product manufacturing by 50 percent (compared to 2017 levels) and GHG emissions from the consumption of seven major products sold by 20 percent by 2030, from a base year of 2020.

Furthermore, the company plans to offer accessibility features to all of its products by 2025, and by 2030, every LG product will have voice instructions and sign language video guides.
