Apple: New Mac patent to introduce LED keyboard that changes characters and displays different characters | Jobs Vox

[ad_1]

Smartphones have interchangeable keyboard layouts and can switch between different looks with a touch, and that may be what Apple is aiming to achieve in a new Mac patent. One of the latest patents from the Cupertino giant hints at its plans for a future debut that would help the Mac keyboard display different characters using LEDs.

It is not yet clear what technology it will use, especially since LEDs now have many variations, as well as its ability to produce what kind of display.

Online pundits have been quick to pick up on this, with Apple breaking the news regarding a new Apple patent that could make major changes to Mac keyboards if it goes into production. It’s focused on a new design that will put either microLED or OLED under the keys to help deliver the different displays below.

According to the report, the Big Tech company filed it earlier today under the US Patent and Trademark Office, focusing on its new design for “keyboard and electronic device key mechanisms.”

In this new design, Apple will replace the usual thin plastic keys and mechanism, which is best known for being cheap to manufacture. This new design includes a top and bottom surface that brings an array of perforations, along with new switches on its back plate.

The new Mac keyboard: changing symbols and displays

The new Mac keyboard is unknown for its future applications, especially if it will be focused on the company’s external Magic Keyboards, or built into MacBook laptops.

According to 9to5Mac , future keys may use metals like aluminum with individual lighting per key to help display a seemingly floating glyph, symbol, or symbol, each corresponding to a company-programmed input.

Apple and its patent for its future releases

Apple is big on patents and new technologies that debut for its devices, which would establish it as intellectual property and prevent other companies or manufacturers from copying. One is a never-before-seen iPhone design called “Housing Construction,” which borrows the mesh design of the Mac Pro to feature on its edges.

Patents are incredibly important in this age, especially since competitors can easily copy or reproduce different technologies from a company, and this can lead to their original ideas being stolen by others.

Another important Apple patent would be its iPhone’s privacy screen, which would protect the device’s contents from people snooping or looking at the smartphone. It will use another wearable device, in the form of glasses, to provide the key to see content hidden to the naked eye and give users control over their device.

The only thing about Apple’s patents is that although there are many applications revealed on the Internet, only a few are produced and come for its devices, such as Dynamic Island. Now, it aims to bring a change to the Mac keyboard, notably by providing new displays and symbols that also dynamically show different things based on user preference.
