Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has jokingly questioned why the club chose to sign Yves Bissuma over Alexis McAllister.

Bissuma joined the north London outfit from Brighton in the summer after an impressive spell on the south coast, but has seen most of him come off the bench this season.

Mc Allister, on the other hand, has been hugely impressive for the Seagulls and the 23-year-old has now added a World Cup title with Argentina, with the midfielder shining in Qatar when he set up the second goal in the final against France. .

The development has led to one former Spurs player hinting that they could sign the world champions in the summer instead of Bissuma.

Speaking to talkSPORT on Monday morning, O’Hara said: “Unbelievable. What a tournament he had, I couldn’t believe how fantastic it was.
