Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund has announced that it will issue a temporary ban on subscriptions in five international funds from January 1, 2023. AMC has issued a supplementary statement on November 22, 2022 allowing additional investments of PAN 2,00,000. month in each scheme and the ban on strategic investment options like SIP, STP, etc. continued. All these restrictions will be removed from January 2023.

The AMC also said that if the core segment currently used to continue overseas investments is completely exhausted, all registrations and investments may be halted again.

The five plans that will be open for subscription from January 1 are:

  • Motilal Oswal S&P 500 Index Fund
  • Motilal Oswal NASDAQ 100 ETF
  • Motilal Oswal NASDAQ 100 Fund Fund
  • Select Motilal Oswal MSCI EAFE Top 100 Index Fund
  • Motilal Oswal NASDAQ Q 50 ETF

The Mutual Fund Association of India has issued a circular on June 20, 2022 informing that mutual fund schemes can continue to register and invest up to principal without violating foreign investment limits as on February 01, 2022.

The main part was created due to a sharp fall in the international stock markets, which caused the prices of international stocks to fall.

The mutual fund house has said that they will accept investments in interest and conversions without any limit from January 01, 2023.

All the existing strategic options under schemes like SIPs, STPs etc., which were paused earlier, will also continue. Also, the investors can register new SIPs, STPs from January 01, 2023 till further notice.
