LG Sinha condoles death of 16 Indian Army personnel in road accident in Sikkim

Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday condoled the families of 16 Indian Army personnel killed in a road accident in North Sikkim.
LG Sinha took to Twitter on his microblog, “Deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life of our brave army personnel in a tragic road accident in Sikkim. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. They will work tirelessly for the nation. Always remember the injured. prayer for healing.”
According to the Indian Army, the vehicle that crashed was part of a three-vehicle convoy that was traveling from Chatten to Tangu in the morning. On the way to Zema, the car was about to make a sharp turn and skidded down a steep slope. The Indian Army launched a rescue operation and airlifted four injured soldiers, three senior officers and 13 soldiers were injured in the incident.
