According to the brand, its new dishwasher is “revolutionary” and will stand out from the competition with its steam technology, which will not only clean more effectively, but also be more efficient. According to LG, the unique technologies that improve the dishwasher’s performance “offer the chance to change the way you do dishwashing.”
How technology works
TrueSteam emits high-temperature steam made up of small particles to easily clean stains and residue from delicate pans to steel pans and cookware, LG says. The technology is also said to soak and loosen tough foods before the main wash.
According to LG, the LG QuadWash Steam Dishwasher reduces unwanted water stains by up to 30% by spraying steam at the end of the cycle, one of the most common complaints among dishwasher users.
In addition to promising flawless results in cleaning, LG claims that it also delivers the same results in terms of hygiene, as the hot, pure steam particles from boiling water clean all dishes hygienically.
Another basic dishwasher technology, the QuadWash has four sprays instead of the two that are common in other dishwashers.
The multi-motion arm rotates in both directions and sweeps and rotates back and forth to clean all shapes and sizes of dishes, crockery, and dishes from almost any angle. Thanks to the multi-directional water flow shot through the spin attachment, LG says the dishwasher cleans more thoroughly.
The dishwasher is powered by an Inverter Direct Drive motor for increased energy efficiency and reduced noise. The motor adjusts the intensity of the water, making it a gentle setting for fragile dishes in the upper rack, and allows for stronger pots and pans on the lower level. LG claims that this versatility allows for more effective cleaning without damaging dishes.
Additionally, LG notes that the EasyRack Plus system can accommodate any tableware, even long-stemmed wine glasses, promising “amazing” flexibility and convenience. The height of the upper shelf can be adjusted to three levels with one click.
Finally, LG ThinQ technology has improved the functionality of dishwashers and made everyday life easier for users. With the handy LG ThinQ app, users can start and stop the dishwasher from anywhere, control the cycle time, and even get alerts when the dishes are clean and unload the dishwasher before the kids get home. The QuadWash steam dishwasher offers nine pre-set wash modes that can be selected from the program.
Son Dae-hyung, president of LG Electronics and Home Appliance & Air Solution, said: “LG QuadWash steam dishwashers offer everything consumers expect from LG appliances: convenience, flexibility and, above all, performance. Steam technology provides superior gentle care offers the perfect balance of class-leading performance, and innovations like these are designed to enhance the practicality and convenience consumers expect from LG.”
