India: All demonstrations not prejudicial to the integrity and sovereignty of India will be allowed: LG | Jobs Vox

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Wednesday that his administration believes in democratic principles and will allow all protests that do not go against the integrity and sovereignty of India.

To a query regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is scheduled to enter J&K next month, the LG said the decision on the yatra and the Covid-19 protocol will be taken keeping in view the prevailing situation of the pandemic.

“Government believes in democratic principles and does not ban or block any movement or demonstration organized under such principles. As per Covid protocol, we will see and monitor what the Covid situation will be in January… Such activities are only against India. operations. independence is prohibited and not allowed,” Sinha said while addressing a function in Jammu.

He announced three new schemes for integrated development of agriculture and allied sectors, cities and five development programs planned for the next five years with a budget of Rs 5,013 crore.

According to the J&K LG, the situation in the Union Territory has improved and the backs of those who are trying to “compromise security” have been broken. “Anyone who is part of the terror ecosystem, regardless of affiliation, will face action,” Sinha said.
