Delhi LG MCD nods for appointment of several officers | Delhi News | Jobs Vox

NEW DELHI: Lt. Governor of Delhi V.K. Saxena The appointment of several officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has been approved, officials said on Saturday.
They said that these appointments were made through open advertisement as per the “settled procedure” and by the selection committee on the basis of pre-qualification and interview weightage.
The LG approved the appointment of three additional Deputy Commissioners/Joint Assessors and Collectors and 19 Administrative Officers/Assistant Assessors and Collectors in the ‘Municipal Municipality of Delhi (MCD)’. Raj Niwas said the official.
Since assuming the post of LG, Saxena has been working to improve the efficiency of the MCD and officials have been instructed to fill up the vacancies in the shortest possible time, he said.
“Appointed as representative by other government services and departments like CSS, IRS etc. NDMCCAG, CGST & CE and Income Tax Department. These officers will go a long way in better performance of the administration, revenue generation, assessment and collection functions of the understaffed Corporation,” the official said.
The first meeting of the City Council with 250 members is scheduled for January 6.
In the recent MCD polls, the Aam Aadmi Party won 134 constituencies, ending the BJP’s 15-year rule. BJP won 104 constituencies while Congress managed to win only nine constituencies.
