what to expect

The Aviation Central Engineering, Operations and Health & Safety team aims to manage the storage and delivery of aviation fuel from refinery gate to aircraft with the prime objective of maintaining product quality, safe operation and the safety of the environment and our people. global operations. Most work at airports can involve a single 20m3 tank and retail pump at a rate of 80 liters per minute, from common sites in community airspace, to major international airports with 50,000m3+ storage with underground fuel hydrant pipes where we have to Fuel up to 600 large aircraft at the rate of 4000 liters per minute per day. There are also partnerships with distribution terminals and cross-country pipelines.

Competencies covered within the team include design (through detailed concept), construction, project management, maintenance (including computerized maintenance management systems), modification, decommissioning and demolition, heavy vehicles, process safety, H&S management and operational excellence . Individuals have their core skills but over time develop an awareness and basic level of competence in all disciplines including mechanical, process, civil, electrical, control and equipment engineering, as well as health and safety management.

Equipment includes storage tanks, pipework, pumps, filters, meters, hoses, valves and motorized actuators, instrumentation (such as tank gauging; level, pressure and flow switches and transmitters), switchrooms and electrical distribution boards, SCADA. refueling vehicles, which can carry up to 85m3, all of this as well as point of sale billing technology directly linked to customer accounts and a transition to electric vehicles which is a key differentiator in our business .
