Zypp Electric Appoints Vice President Business Head and Director of Engineering – Ketan Ray and Amit Goyal | Jobs Vox

Zypp Electric, India’s largest EV-as-a-service startup, today announced the expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of Amit Goyal as Director of Engineering and Ketan Ray as Vice President Business Head. The new recruits will further Zypp’s mission of building a strong ecosystem of electric vehicles that helps businesses as well as gig workers.

In his new role, Amit will be responsible for designing the technology systems architecture and managing the implementation of technology projects at ZYPP. He will work with industry leaders to plan for the organization’s future IT needs and test processes to ensure quality standards and processes are met.

Ketan will oversee Zypp’s portfolio expansion, currently primarily from two-wheelers to three-wheelers and others, to cater to a variety of use cases for customers.

Commenting on the new appointments, Rashi Agarwal, Co-Founder and CBO, Zypp Electricshared,The EV logistics sector is set to significantly disrupt the industry as electric vehicles and their usage go mainstream. Amit Goyal, Certified Scrum Master and Java 8 expert, brings with him 17 years of knowledge and experience in the IT sector. He also co-founded US based food tech startup, FoodSpa and formerly worked as an architect at Ericsson.

Upon joining Zypp Electric, Amit Goel, director of engineering at Zip Electric, said, “I see Zypp Electric continuing to play an important role as an industry catalyst in last-mile logistics. I want to contribute to the process by making it more efficient through the use of technology. Zypp As a member of the team, my role will be to guarantee that servicing and technology work hand in hand to support expansion in the Zypp Electric ecosystem.”

Ketan Ray has an illustrious career spanning 14 years in business operations, consulting and engineering as well as entrepreneurial expertise in food tech and cloud kitchens. Ketan previously served as Director of Operations at Euler Motors, where he oversaw the expansion of EV mobility services across four major Indian cities, driving threefold revenue growth.

Zypp Electric has so far raised $12.5 million from 9Unicorns, Anthill Ventures, Riso Capital Fund, LetsVenture, Nanavati Family Office, We Founder Circle, Dholakia Ventures, Venture Catalysts, and IAN Fund, among other investors. The Gurgaon-based startup has partnered with 50+ eCommerce and food/grocery/medicine delivery platforms and is looking to expand to 20 cities in India by the end of FY25.
