Tarn Taran: A two-day workshop for teachers was organized at the Universal Academy with the aim of “Reaching the Unreached”. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Kochar, resource expert, spoke about the new education system to make education accessible. He encouraged the teachers to stay positive and show a good attitude towards each other. He urged them to work as a team and cooperate with each other and be role models for the students. He emphasized disciplined and intelligent students because the future depends on them.

The school is celebrating the Annual Day

Amritsar: The annual day of Revel Dale Public School, Rangarh (Attari), was held with much gusto and fervor. The theme of the function was “Gratitude”. Students organized different presentations based on the topic. A total of 1,600 students participated in various stage performances. The basic thought projected in the presentations was that we are all guided, mentored and protected by our parents, teachers, grandparents and God at different stages of our lives. On that occasion, prizes were awarded to 400 students.

DAV student attends Yachting camp

The All India NCC Yachting Regatta was recently held at the Indian Naval Training Center at INS Chilki. Odisha Deputy Director General Commodore Somen Banerjee was the Chief Guest and Brig Nischal Sood, Brig (Trg) of DG NCC graced the closing ceremony. As many as 102 cadets, boys and girls from 17 directorates from all states of our country participated wholeheartedly in the regatta. A total of 51 SD (boys) and 51 SV (girls) participated in the competition. A swimming test was conducted for all cadets. The championship was held according to international sailing rules. Rubinderjit Singh of DAV College, Amritsar was the only cadet who joined this mega event from Amritsar district.

SRA conducts quiz competitions

Shri Ram Ashram High School organized a quiz on Science and Environment in Daily Life. Students of KSI and KSII classes participated. The quiz consisted of a total of five teams. Davinderjeet Kaur, Sakshi Sharma and Gunoor Kaur from Team D bagged the 1st position. Harmolak Singh, Akshita and Nikita Nirala from Team E came 2nd. Khusboo, Khushant Arora and Ritika Saini from Team B bagged the third position. Principal Neetu Sharma appreciated the efforts of the students who distributed the prizes, she appealed to the students to participate in all such activities and competitions as they help in all-round personality development and avoid self-doubt.

30 get a job in the recruitment process

Tech Mahindra, a part of the Mahindra Group, has implemented a drive to set up a campus in the Global Group of Institutes. The company, which deals in communications, media and entertainment, manufacturing, banking and financial services, retail, energy, travel, transportation, hospitality and public sector etc., has shortlisted over 30 students for absorption in its various branches to be appointed as associate customer support. These students were selected from over a hundred B.Tech students. (All Streams), Diploma (All Streams), BCA, BBA, BCom, BHMCT, BTTM, Agriculture and MBA as part of placement. Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chandi, Vice President, Global Group of Institutes, congratulated the selected students and lauded the role played by the Institute’s Training and Placement Cell.

Students are excellent at the science congress

Students of Bhavans SL Public School excelled in the 30th District Level Children’s Science Congress (2022-23). Department of Science and Technology, Government of India organized the event in collaboration with PG Department of Zoology, Khalsa College, Amritsar. Suhana and Hardik, who were part of the senior team along with Siya and Vaibhav from the junior team, secured the first position by excelling in a series of competitive events. Chairman Avinash Mohindru and Principal Dr. Anita Bhalla congratulated the winners and their mentors. /OC
