Tottenham still want Alexis McAllister in January | Jobs Vox

Antonio Conte wants Tottenham to try to sign Alexis McAllister in the January transfer window, according to Calciomercatoweb.

Maybe McAllister is still reeling from helping Argentina win the World Cup. In fact, the 23-year-old was instrumental in Lionel Scaroni’s men lifting the trophy.

He entered the tournament in fine form for Brighton, scoring five times in the Premier League. But it seems his “incredible” performances at the World Cup have made several clubs interested.

Tottenham want McAllister as early as January

Reports from L’Interista last week suggested Tottenham were monitoring McAllister, along with other European sides.

And it looks like Conte will like him for the foreseeable future. According to Calciomercatoweb, the Spurs boss wants to sign McAllister in January.

The report says Mac Allister will be worth around £30m. But you’d imagine Brighton would now want more for the Argentine – especially if he’s set to leave in the winter window.

It would be a real statement if Tottenham were to sign McAllister in January. His stock is incredibly high after his performances in Qatar. And he has been brilliant for Brighton in the opening months of the season.

If he picks up where he left off when the Premier League campaign resumes, his demand will only increase further. Interest in it will also increase.

Brighton will be ready to dig their heels in. They have sold some key players in recent years. And they hope they can keep Mac Allister and build a team capable of taking that next step.
