ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened an important meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to discuss the political situation in the country, ARY News reported on Friday citing well-informed sources.
The consultative meeting of the ruling PML-N will be held at the Prime Minister’s Office and will discuss issues related to the upcoming local government elections in Islamabad and Sindh, sources said.
They said that the meeting will also discuss the preparations for the elections.
PML-N senior leadership including Ahsan Iqbal, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Saad Rafiq and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi are expected to attend the important party gathering.
The meeting comes after Imran Khan announced the date of dissolution of the assembly on December 17 at a major rally in Lahore’s Liberty Chowk.
