Tech Mahindra Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Tech Mahindra Limited, has appointed Chetan Kapoor as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Sajid Ali as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company.
Following the appointment, Chetan Kapoor, who previously served as the company’s COO since 2016, said, “We will continue to rise to become an agile and purposeful organization that drives social transformation in the communities we work with.
In a LinkedIn post, Kapoor penned a heartfelt message of thanks to the company, writing, “Also overwhelming is the acute sense of responsibility that comes with this role, especially when the organization I am entrusted to lead has a sacred mission to serve the underserved.” I am fortunate to have been a part of this organization for the past many years and to have had with me a group of colleagues and associates who have made this journey worthwhile every step of the way. Thank you, Tech Mahindra Foundation team!”
He also went on to thank parent company Tech Mahindra in the post, saying, “They say ‘a man is known by the company he keeps’, but a company is known by the people it keeps. Our parent company Tech Mahindra – which has made a name for itself in the technology space as a company with a purpose – has been unwavering in its support of the work we do at the Foundation. I can never thank TechM leaders CP Gurnani, Harshvendra Soin, Jagdish Mitra and many others enough who have always stood by us and encouraged us to do better.”
On the other hand, Sajid Ali, formerly Director of Direct Implementation Program and now COO, said, “We need to nurture an ecosystem for an inclusive and equal world, where women and people with disabilities are empowered. I am sure that this can be achieved by building bridges with organizations with shared values to make a better world for all.”
