Tech Mahindra announces its entry into the metaverse with the launch of TechMVerse | Jobs Vox

BENGALURU : Information Technology (IT) services major Tech Mahindra Ltd has entered the metaverse with the launch of TechMVerse, to offer interactive and immersive user experiences.

The company plans to hire and train 1,000 employees for TechMVerse in the first year. Initially, operations will be spread across Dallas, London, Pune and Hyderabad.

“With the aim to transform customer experience and deliver real business results, Tech Mahindra will leverage its world-leading network and infrastructure capabilities along with its core technology capabilities such as ubiquitous artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, 5G, augmented reality (AR) , virtual reality (VR) and quantum computing to build B2B (business-to-business) use cases in various sectors,” the company said in a statement.

It will initially take advantage of the metaverse world through a variety of use cases, including a car dealership, DealerVerse, a non-fungible token (NFT) market, Middlemist, a virtual bank, Meta Bank, and a game center.

Tech Mahindra will offer immersive digital and professional experience services for design, content, as well as plug-and-play NFT and low-code blockchain platforms.

“The metaverse has the power to disrupt our reality, as well as the future, forever. At Tech Mahindra, we have always been at the forefront of 5G, and our entry into the metaverse is another milestone on our journey of catalyzing future readiness and disrupting and transforming the customer experience. The core layers of the metaverse are very well integrated into Tech Mahindra and its competencies,” said CP Gurnani, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Tech Mahindra. imagine new worlds for our customers and society,” he added.

Gartner defines the metaverse as a collective virtual open space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical and digital realities.

According to the research firm, 25% of people will spend at least one hour a day in the metaverse by 2026.

TechMVerse is expected to be an extension of Tech Mahindra’s NKST.NOV framework, which aims to advance human-centric experiences by investing in new technologies and solutions that enable digital transformation to meet evolving customer needs.
