NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher at 10:50 am on Thursday

Ugar Sugar Works (up 2.86%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries (up 2.51%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries (up 2.19%), Ponni Sugars (Erode) (up 1.95% ), Sakthi Sugars (up 1.93%), Uttam Sugar Mills (up 1.92%), BAJAJHIND (up 1.59%), AVADHSUGAR (up 1.41%),

& Chemicals (up 1.27%) and Dhampur Sugar Mills (up 1.21%) were among the top gainers.

EID Parri (down 0.78%) was among the biggest losers.

The NSE Nifti50 index was trading up 79.4 points at 18580.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 284.62 points at 62393.29 around 10:50 am.

SBI Life (up 1.51%), Hero MotoCorp (up 0.94%), Tata Motors (up 0.93%), Bajaj Finance (up 0.64%), Britannia Industries (up 0.62%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE (up 0.52%), IndusInd Bank (up 0.51%), NTPC (up 0.5%), Larsen & Toubro (up 0.45%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (up 0.5 0.3%) are among the top gainers in the Nifti pack.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra (down 1.82%), Infosis (down 1.76%), JSV Steel (down 1.24%), HCL Technologies (down 1.23%), Hindalco Industries ( down 1.1%), Tata Consultancy (down 1.08%) ), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS (down 1.04%), Titan Company Ltd (down 1.04%), Coal India (down 0 .95%) and UPL Ltd (down 0.87%).
