NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading at 10:40 am on Wednesday

KIOCL (increase by 9.55%), Lekus Granito (increase by 2.96%),

Dvpt Corporation (up 2.49%), Aro Granite Industries (up 1.16%), Madhav Marbles and Granites (up 1.12%), MOIL (up 0.86%), 20 Microns (up by 0.61%), Pokarna (up 0.35%) and Coal India (up 0.19%) were among the top gainers.

Oriental Trimek (down 1.16%), Ashapura Minechem (down 0.58%), NMDC Ltd (down 0.32%) and Orisa Minerals Development Company (down 0.19%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifti50 index was trading up 62.7 points at 18670.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 206.36 points at 62739.66 around 10:40 am.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.8%), NTPC (up 1.8%), Eicher Motors (up 1.75%), Hindalco Industries (up 1.6%), Tech Mahindra ( up 1.53%), Power Grid Corporation of India (up 1.43%) %), State Bank of India (up 1.01%), Dr Reddis Laboratories (up 0.99%), Wipro (up 0.96%) and Larsen & Toubro (up 0.93%) were among the top gainers in the Nifti pack.

On the other hand, Nestle India (down 1.17%), Bharti Airtel (down 0.89%), Asian Paints (down 0.43%), Hindustan Unilever (down 0.37%), Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0 .28%), ICICI Bank (down 0.2%), Enterprises (down 0.16%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.03%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE (down 0.02 %) and Reliance Industries (down 0.01%).
