New Delhi, December 24 (IANS): Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday Lt. Governor V.K. A letter was written to Saxena asking him to revamp the agencies that provide free laboratory tests at city government hospitals and mohalla clinics.
As their contract ends on December 31, Sisodia urged the LG to resolve the issue soon.
“The contract for laboratory services in Delhi government hospitals and Mohalla hospitals will expire on December 31. The new contract needs to be signed immediately so that the new service providers can start working from January 1. If there is a gap in this, it will be a big problem for people. will cause,” said Sisodia.
Sisodia also said that the Delhi government has completed all the formalities for the new agreement.
“This file has been sent to you on 12th December 2022 to decide whether to set aside the decision of the Government and refer the matter to the President under Section 239AA(4). Please kindly resolve. The new service provider will be able to start work soon. ” he said.
Citing the judgment of the Supreme Court in the case of State (NCT of Delhi) vs Union of India & Ann, (2018) 8 SCC 501, Sisodia said, “In my view, the issue of award. Laboratory services is not a rare case which has to be referred to the President .”
“As time is very short, I would appreciate it if you could take a decision on this matter as soon as possible,” Sisodia concluded.
