Counting of votes continues after the second round of local government (LG) elections in 32 districts of Balochistan province ended on Wednesday.
The councilors elected in the first round of the CEC elections voted in the second round for 7 city corporations, 48 city committees and 597 union council reserve seats. Voting, which lasted from 8 am to 5 pm, was held for 33 percent of women’s seats and 5 percent for farmers, laborers and non-Muslims.
According to the unofficial results, all the candidates for the Dera Bugti municipal committees were elected unopposed, while the Balochistan National Party-Awami (BNP-A) won 9 municipal corporation seats. BNP-A also won 6 seats for women in Panjgur, while the National Party (ND) won 2 seats.

As unofficial results began to come in, the Domki group was reported to have won 10 of the 13 seats in the Sibbi city councils. Meanwhile, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) won 7 of the 8 Federal Council seats in Sanjawi district of Ziarat.
Voting in the first phase of local elections in Pashin, Hab and Lasbela districts of Balochistan was held on Sunday.
