SBI Fund appoints Shamsher Singh as MD and CEO | Jobs Vox

SBI Funds Management Limited (SBIFML), a joint venture between State Bank of India and Amundi, Europe’s largest asset manager, has announced the appointment of Mr. Shamsher Singh as MD and CEO of SBI Funds Management Limited.

Shamsher Singh, Deputy Managing Director, State Bank of India, has been appointed Managing Director and CEO of SBI Fund Management Ltd as a result of Vinay M. Tons’ return to State Bank of India.

Mr. Singh has over 32 years of rich experience working with State Bank of India across Investment Banking, Treasury, Corporate Banking and Branch Banking. In the year He joined State Bank of India in June 1990 as a Probationary Officer and rose to the rank of Deputy Managing Director, successfully holding leadership roles in various domains besides serving international operations in the US, Bahrain and UAE.

Prior to SBIFML deputation, he was heading SBI Ahmedabad Circle as General Manager from November 2020 and was responsible for driving business growth and ensuring regulatory compliance across 1400+ branches of SBI. He headed SBI’s retail operations in Gujarat State and Union State of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and DU.
