Patriots fans are starting to feel the way Jets fans feel about Zach Wilson.
Jones struggled to carry the ball in the first half of the Patriots’ Christmas Eve game against the Bengals on Saturday.
To make matters worse, his counterpart – Joe Barrow – was sensational in the first half.
Patriots fans have seen enough of Jones today.
“Sarcastic cheer from the crowd as Mack Jones hits John Smith for the first touchdown of the game. 9-yard gain on first down. Wild concept,” Khari Thompson said.
“Joe Barrow: 13/16, 165 YDS, 2 TD Mac Jones: 0/1, 0 YDS,” Dan Tracy said.
Some fans, however, remain patient with Jones. Maybe a change in offensive coordinator will do the trick.
“This offense is nothing to watch. Needs some offseason moves. Get a real offensive coordinator to help get Mack Jones back on track. Add 2 offensive linemen who can get open, one slot, one deep threat. Strengthen the offensive line. Other than that, everything is great.” , – writes a fan on the social network.
Again, it’s hard to watch a game where the opposing quarterback (Barrow) is absolutely dominating and your team’s quarterback (Jones) has almost no pulse.
It’s going to be a long day in New England.
