Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy says, the success of any organization depends on three things: reducing costs, increasing speed of work and maintaining quality.

Mr Narayana Murthy was interacting with the alumni of Andhra University at the Alumni Office on the university campus on Saturday.

Earlier, a ‘Dream Wall’ was inaugurated by Sree Narayana Murthy in the Department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering campus.

Explaining the ‘Dream Wall’ to Sree Narayana Murthy, Vice-Chancellor PVGD Prasad Reddy said that the objective was to inspire the youth to dream big during their college days and strive to make space on such walls.

80 ft. Pro. Prasad Reddy said that the Dream Wall had pictures of 22 big personalities from all over the world.

‘GMR a living symbol’

Addressing the huge gathering of students on the occasion, Shri Narayana Murthy said, “Mati K Lal, AU alumnus and Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao, founder of GMR Group, is a living icon.”

He said that the youth should take inspiration from Shri Mallikarjuna Rao and many others whose pictures have been displayed on the wall.

“I have been to many countries, but I have never seen such walls. Andhra University has come up with such a wonderful concept for the benefit of the students,” said Mr. Narayana Murthy.

In his address, Shri Mallikarjuna Rao said, “You should never compare yourself with others. You should always try to create something special for yourself. All of us here including Shri Narayanamurthy have reached this level with dedication and hard work after going through many struggles. Never give up even in the face of obstacles and failures. Keep moving forward.”

Sree Narayana Murthy was also taken to the Andhra University Incubation Centre, where he was briefed about its objectives and achievements.

“The incubation center is working on various themes and projects, and bridging the gap between industry and students. It is also a platform for many budding entrepreneurs and startups,” explained Mr. Prasad Reddy.

Later, Shri Narayana Murthy also visited the Center of Excellence of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation.

Explaining its objective, Pashumarthi Mallikarjuna Rao, Center Head, said, “Students can enter the lab with an idea and leave the lab with a prototype of their idea.”
