Mercedes-Benz India and MBRDI launch state-of-the-art EV course at RV College of Engineering

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) has partnered with Mercedes-Benz India to introduce the brand new EV module in the Advanced Diploma Automotive Diploma (ADAM) course offered at RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru. MBRDI has also contributed a hi-tech EV Lab to upskill the talent pool in the country and help the industry move towards electric mobility.

The EV module will be a part of the 12-month Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics (ADAM) course, a first-of-its-kind public-private collaborative effort aimed at providing a holistic understanding of the latest state-of-the-art EVs. technologies, at par with global industry standards. The all new EV Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and simulation dynamics of EVs to provide live demonstrations and training to build the talent pool and support the ecosystem.

Automotive mechatronics is a lifecycle activity that involves the multidisciplinary integration of automotive mechanical and electronic systems. Launched in 2006, ADAM curriculum is an initiative by Mercedes-Benz which is running successfully in nine technical institutes in different cities across the country. It provides an advanced level of systems awareness in the vehicle, the HV system and its measurement, as well as practical insight into personal and vehicle safety. This initiative has shown 100% results and employment potential since its inception. Till date, over 1,200 students have benefited from the ADAM curriculum, many of whom have gone on to successful industry placements.
