There are two types of people: those who think mac and cheese is a kid’s food (even though they’re probably stealing a kid’s plate) and those who admit it’s a delicious cheesy snack. everyone can enjoy Martha Stewart is firmly in the latter category, and her new take on mac and cheese bites is just what you need for your next holiday party. Cheesy, carb-laden goodness in finger food form? Yes, if possible!

“Make way for these little squares of heaven!” Stewart wrote on Instagram today, alongside a gorgeous display of mac and cheese bites shaped into a rectangle. “If you really want to be the MVP of your holiday party, try this delicious grilled macaroni and cheese.”

Crispy, golden brown on the outside, with creamy, cheesy macaroni noodles, the inside is a dream come true. These look so good, you’ll probably devour the whole pan! Fortunately, the recipe makes about 10 dozen, so doubling it shouldn’t be necessary.

Ingredients include elbow pasta, milk, white cheddar cheese and more. Prepare the pasta al dente. Then mix milk and other ingredients in a pot. When ready, remove from heat and add cheese and a few other things. Combine the pasta and sauce and pour into a 9 by 13 pan. From there, Stewart recommends refrigerating for a day or two to firm up “for easy slicing.”

When it’s time to create the outer layer for frying, Sewart recommends using panko instead of breadcrumbs “for a loose but light crust.” (Note: these can be made up to three days ahead and served warm.)
