The incredible M1 Ultra chip actually starts with the M1 Max. Since its inception, the M1 Max has had the ability to connect to other M1 Max using a packaging architecture called UltraFusion. With twice the connection density of any available technology, UltraFusion delivers massive 2.5TB/s of interprocessor bandwidth between two cores using very little power.
The latest member of the M1 family, the M1 Ultra joins the two pieces of the M1 Max – yet the software looks like a single piece of silicon, so applications can take advantage of its extraordinary capabilities without additional work from developers.
