JAMMU, Dec 24: All J&K Sikh Coordination Committee (AJKSCC) is organizing a special Gurmat Samagam on Monday (Dec 26) on the occasion of martyrdom of 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Digiana Ashram.
Addressing a press conference here today, All J&K Sikh Coordinating Committee Chairman Ajit Singh said that J&K UT Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has been specially invited to attend this grand ‘Gurmat Samagam’.
He said that the purpose of the press conference was to inform all the Sikh Sangats about the upcoming religious program. He said that ‘Vishesh Gurmat Samagam’ will be organized on December 26 in connection with Guru’s martyrdom day and all arrangements for the program have been made. A large number of devotees are expected to participate in this religious function organized under the supervision of Mahant Manjit Singh Ji of Poonch Dera Nangali Sahib.
He said that Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha has agreed to participate in this Shahidi Diwas function.
The religious program will begin at 10 am on December 26 and is expected to conclude at Digiana Ashram, Jammu at around 2 pm after paying tribute to the martyrs of `Saka-Sirhind, Safar-e-Shahadat Saka Chamkor’.
“Vishesh Gurmat Samagam” is being organized under the leadership of Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji with the support of All J&K Sikh Coordinating Committee and Jammu & Kashmir Sikh Sangat, he added.
All Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Coordination Committee Chairman Ajit Singh further said that the four Sahibzadas of the great Guru and Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj will be remembered and sacrificed for the cause of religion and humanity.
