Sinha briefed the minister about AT&C’s loss reduction efforts

NEW DELHI, Dec 15: Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha today met Union Power Minister RK Singh in Delhi.
Power Secretary Alok Kumar and other senior officials of the Ministry of Power, New and Renewable Energy were also present. Various measures needed to ensure uninterrupted power supply and improve power infrastructure in the Union Territory of J&K were discussed.
The Lt. Governor has asked for more power allocation in J&K. Union Power Minister, NRE RK Singh said that he will look into the request and take action at the earliest.
The Governor of the Capital also shared the efforts of the Capital Government to create electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure, reduce AT&C losses, and improve the quality and reliability of energy supply to the people. The Union Power Minister assured that the ministry would provide all-out assistance to ensure the availability of resources.
“Had fruitful meeting with Hon’ble Union Power Minister RK Singh and senior officials of Ministry of Power. “Discussed various issues including need for increased power distribution in J&K, augmentation of transmission and distribution infrastructure and intensification of power projects,” the LG J&K office tweeted.
