New Delhi, Dec 15: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today met Union Power Minister RK Singh in Delhi.
Power Secretary Shri Alok Kumar and other senior officials of the Ministry of Power, New and Renewable Energy were also present. Various measures needed to ensure uninterrupted power supply and improve power infrastructure in the Union Territory of J&K were discussed.
The Lt. Governor has asked for more power allocation in J&K. Union Power Minister, NRE Shri RK Singh said he would look into the request and take action at the earliest.
The Governor of the Capital also shared the efforts of the Capital Government to create electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure, reduce AT&C losses, and improve the quality and reliability of energy supply to the people. The Union Power Minister assured that the ministry would extend all possible assistance to ensure adequate resources.
