Best Buy has lots of LG electronics on sale through Saturday. It includes several OLED TVs for 2022, some of which are cheaper than I’ve seen. Starting with the best value deal for its size and specs, LG’s 55-inch B2 OLED is $999.99 (originally $1,599.99). For context, Amazon is selling it for about $300 at the time of publication.
The B2 is LG’s mid-range model; It has more features than the A Series OLED, but not the same as the C2 Evo. Still, fans of movies, TV shows, and games should find everything they’re looking for with the B2, including a near-infinite contrast ratio, the deepest blacks, and a 120Hz refresh rate panel. On the back, two of the B2’s four HDMI ports are HDMI 2.1, providing enough bandwidth to display 4K resolution at 120Hz on the latest consoles and PCs.
If you want something smaller for your desk or small living room, LG’s 42-inch version (it’s the new size for 2022), the C2, is also available for $999.99. dollars, or $400 off the original price. On paper, the C2 has many of the same features as the B2, but it differs in two ways that may influence your purchase decision. It has LG’s Alpha 9 processor, which, according to Chris Welch’s early 2022 article, “provides a deeper sense of depth through better 4K, improved color mapping, and improved foreground objects.” B2 has Alpha 7. The C2 series features an improved version of LG’s ‘Evo’ OLED panel, with better overall brightness than previous models, and current models without the ‘Evo’ branding.

Most people are focused on the 2021 models, which have a more drastic design change with a notch screen, several useful ports, and more powerful M1 Pro and M1 Pro Max processors.
