Kerala engineering student commits suicide in Bengaluru college | Jobs Vox

Bengaluru: An engineering student from Kerala committed suicide on Thursday at a college in Anekal town in Bengaluru. The student was found dead in the college toilet by fellow students.

“Karnataka | Nithin (19), an engineering student, allegedly committed suicide by slitting his throat inside a toilet of AMC Engineering College hostel,” Bannerghatta police said, according to ANI.

He said, ‘Nitin, who hails from Kerala, joined the college on December 1 this month.’

Nitin, a student of AMC Engineering College in Bannerghatta area of ​​Bengaluru, was a resident of Koylandi village near Padini Jaria area of ​​Kozhikode district in Kerala. The deceased victim lives in Dubai and was admitted to the college in CES course by her brother.

Police said, Nitin had joined the college on December 1. On Thursday, when the students were out, he committed suicide in the college toilet.

The police also took the statements of his roommate and friends in the college. The students told the police that Nitin was calling his parents and quarreling with them to come see him.

Bannerghatta police have launched an investigation and said that Nitin was depressed due to being away from his parents. According to IANS, after joining the college, she called her parents repeatedly.

Further investigation is underway.
