J Day Engineering, which has premises in Henstridge Marsh, was awarded Independent Garage of the Year, having been shortlisted for the past two years.
The best of the industry gathered in London for the Motor Trader Industry Awards 2022 to crown this year’s winners. Considered the ‘Oscars’ of motoring, the competition was fierce with entries coming from all over the United Kingdom.
James Day, who started JD Engineering 22 years ago, said: “We couldn’t believe it when our names were called – what a huge honor to win.
“Our employees and customers have made this possible and I want to say a huge thank you for their support. With thousands of entries and months of judging, everyone at J Day Engineering feels a sense of real accomplishment.
“This award really shows that we are one of the best independent garages not only in Somerset but in the country. We can’t wait to see what 2023 brings us.”
