ISGEC Heavy Engineering Limited has bagged two major orders for DSI system packages from reputed state government power generation organizations.


The heavy engineering company has bagged two orders for Dry Sorbent Injection (DSI) system packages from state government power utilities including Maharashtra Power Generation Corporation (MAHAGENCO) and West Bengal Power Development Corporation (WBPDCL).

For the two orders, ISGEC will use advanced DSI technology through its strategic project with United Conveyor Corporation (UCC), USA on a collaboration and technology licensing agreement.

The company has received orders for 2 x 210 MW (Units 3 & 4) Khaparkheda Thermal Power Station of MAHAGENCO and 4 x 210 MW (Units 3,4,5 & 6) Kolaghat Thermal Power Station of WBPDCL.

As per the scope of work, ISGEC will design, engineer, procure, manufacture, fabricate, install, commission, startup and test the DSI package.

Suman Jain, Group Head, Utility Boilers, Air Pollution Control Equipment and New Technologies, said, “These are very prestigious orders for us from two respected state government organizations in India and we are all geared up to complete and successfully execute these projects. ISGEC reported a net profit of around Rs 30 crore in the September quarter, as against a profit of Rs 10.5 crore in the same period last year. Its Ebitda also almost doubled to Rs 93.26 crore.

The scrip of ISGEC closed unchanged at Rs 514.05.
