A two-day International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology and Software Engineering was held in the NED community
Speakers at the conference appreciated the efforts of the NED organizers in providing a respected platform for researchers, scientists and industry professionals from around the world to present their cutting-edge research as well as share the latest industry insights.
Asif Ikram, Secretary, Information Science and Technology, Government of Sindh was the chief guest on the occasion. NED Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi in his inaugural address said that the society is being reduced to microchips and communication is done without talking to each other.
“We teach our students to conquer the world in computer related fields.” she added.
Asif Ikram, Secretary, Information Science and Technology, Government of Sindh, said that answers to questions are found in research articles. I think it is necessary to attend the conference to know the ground reality.
On this occasion, President of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Prof. Shankar Bhavani Chowdhary, Head of the Department of Software Engineering, Prof. Dr. Shahneela Zardari, Chair of Computer Science and Information Technology, Prof. Mubasher Khan addressed the audience. The speakers said that discussion is necessary to develop the latest technology.
Speaking at the valedictory session of the second day, Dr. Tariq Rafi, Chairman, Sindh HEC said that the conference is the best platform for education, research, government and various stakeholders.
According to university spokesperson Farwa Hasan, 5 international keynote speakers including 32 national experts presented their research papers. Seven technical sessions were also organized in the conference. Secretary of the two-day international conference, Dr. Sharq Mahmood Khan expressed gratitude to the guests.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohd. Tufail, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Noman Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Dr. Asif Ahmed Sheikh, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering Prof. Dr. Saad Qazi, Registrar Syed Ghazanfar Hussain, Director Services Wasiuddin, Director IT Asad Arefin and Deputy Registrar Khalid Makhdoom Hashmi Samit and a large number of teachers and students participated in the conference.
