Harnessing Tech Energy for Made Wind Design | Jobs Vox

[ad_1]

Technip Energies has been selected to carry out front-end engineering and design for the 2.8-GW MedWind floating offshore wind project in the Mediterranean Sea.

Italian renewable energy company Renexia, a subsidiary of the Toto Group, selected Technip Energies for the feed, which will include 190 floating foundations for wind turbines and moorings and conceptual designs for floating offshore substations off the west coast of Sicily .

Technip Energies will base the design on its in-house floater technology, the INO15, a three-column semi-submersible floater suitable for large series production.

“We are delighted to support such a major development, which will play a key role in achieving Italy’s ambitious renewable energy development plan and national decarbonisation targets,” said Laure Mandru, Senior Vice President of Carbon Free Solutions at Technip Energies “

Renexia expects startup of the wind farm to begin in 2026. It expects to finish the permitting phase by 2023 and complete construction by the end of 2025.
