MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.– Central Michigan football coach Jim McElwain announced its 25-member 2023 signing class on Wednesday night. Central Michigan’s 25-man class was ranked No. 1 in the Mid-American Conference, according to 247sports.com’s league rankings.
“This is the best recruiting class in our school history,” McElwain said. “This class is a direct result of all the hard work of our coaching staff, as well as everyone who really cares here at Central Michigan. We’ve tried to focus on the state of Michigan and the surrounding area, and that effort is reflected in who we’ve signed. We look forward to welcoming these players on campus and acclimate them to our school and football program. Ten of these signees plan to enroll at CMU next semester and before spring practice. Having these athletes on campus will help educate our players about what it means to be a Chippewa football player. Our goal as a program , for our team to get back to understanding the responsibility of being a Chippewa player.”
Additionally, we already have a big jump on our 2024 and 2025 classes.
