Field hockey earns 10 spots on the MAC All-Academic Team | Jobs Vox

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced this afternoon that the Bellarmine University field hockey team has placed ten players on the fall 2022 MAC All-Academic Team – one more than last season’s tally of nine players.

The recognition honors student-athletes who, during the first semester of the 2022-23 academic year, achieved a grade point average of 3.2 or higher and participated in at least 50 percent of their team’s games.

Bellarmine awardees include:

1. Hannah BrownJunior, Nursing, 3.32 GPA
2. Anna CrumpJunior, Business Administration, 3.40 GPA
3. Julia DornebosGraduate, Master of Digital Media, 3.86 GPA
4. Peyton HobsonJunior, Nursing, 3.25 GPA
5. Abby HodgesJunior, Exercise Science, 3.51 GPA
6. Amber Hofenck JerremboSenior, Sports Administration, 3.49 GPA
7. Bente MoormanSophomore, Business Administration, 3.54 GPA
8. Alexa RastigSenior, Education and Behavioral Disorders, 3.74 GPA
9. Danny SwallowJunior, Psychology, 3.52 GPA
10. Marit van der BendSophomore, Business Administration, 3.87 GPA

Along with academics, Hofenck Jerembo was also named to the All-MAC first team. Hofenck Jerembo finished the season with a career-best 12 goals, which tied for second in the MAC. He also scored four game-winning goals, which tied for first in the conference. His 49 shots and 29 field goals also ranked in the top-10 in the MAC. Hofenck Jerembo was named MAC Player of the Week twice last season. He finished his career with 31 goals, 7 assists and 69 points in four years with the Knights.
