Egyptian Engineering Council, Saudi Arabian Standards Organization discuss facilitation of SASO certification | Jobs Vox

May Helmy – Executive Director of the Egyptian Engineering Council (EEC) – met with Saud bin Rashid Al-Askar, Deputy Governor of the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) – to facilitate and assist Egyptian companies in the engineering sector to obtain SASO . certificates and to enable them to increase exports to the Saudi market during the coming period.

Saud bin Rashid Al-Askar said that the SASO Authority will not delay in advising Egyptian engineering companies to enter the Saudi market and export to the Kingdom and will support them to obtain the SASO Certificate issued by the Authority in the Kingdom.

Helmi said in a statement that the meeting discussed the facilities to be provided to engineering companies and members of the Export Council during the coming period so that engineering products are acceptable to SASO as a conformity certification body.

Helmi also noted that the EEC sought to cooperate with the Saudi Arabian Organization for Standardization to facilitate the entry of Egyptian engineering products into the Saudi market, expand their sales base in a professional manner, Implemented technical requirements, and achieved safety and quality. Products to suit export requirements.

Furthermore, he highlighted the need for companies wishing to enter the Saudi market to communicate with the Council to join SASO. This is in addition to assisting Egyptian companies to present the necessary export certificates for the product as per Saudi technical regulations and to register and classify products as per the customs code to facilitate their release from ports.

Additionally, Helmi announced an upcoming visit by the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization to Egypt to provide Egyptian companies with courses and training on how to obtain SASO certification within the framework of cooperation between the council and the authority.
