Former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, discussed the takeover of the Government Technical College in Ilara-Remo, Remo North Local Government Area of the state by the Federal Government and converted into an aviation school.

The Ogun East senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress explained the conversion of Daniel Technical College into an aviation school because of its proximity to the Agro-Cargo Airport in the state.

He made the appeal this Thursday while participating in an empowerment program organized by his constituency in Remo North Local Government Area of the state.

According to Daniel, the technical college in Ilara-Remo is ideal for establishing an aviation school.

Daniel Ogun has declared that he is vying for the National Assembly seat to make an indelible impact on the socio-economic development of the Eastern Senatorial District.

He said, “We are entering a different phase and we want you to support our ambition. You have seen that my politics is about power; to empower our people to be the best they can be.

“This is how politics should be. Anyone who has been blessed by God should give back to the less fortunate in the community and that is what I have been doing for over 20 years now.

“The state agro-cargo airport is not far from here. It’s almost over. This local government should use the airport project.

“There is a technical college here, if the Federal Government takes it and turns it into an aviation college or school, it will be gone. We will work to make it work so that our people can benefit from it.”

He promised to work with the Federal Government to take interest in local government.

Meanwhile, the Odemo of Ishara-Remo, Oba Albert Mayunbe, has expressed confidence that Daniel will win the 2023 senate election.
