Clifford Chance advised sellers of Belgium-based climate tech start-up Futureproof on their sale to Swedish engineering firm, Sweco. Futureproofed provides consulting services on sustainability matters and has developed a proprietary carbon management platform to help businesses and cities achieve a low carbon future. The combination of Futureproofed and Sweco will allow Futureproofed’s digital sustainability solutions to scale up and accelerate climate change.
We advised Futureproof’s founders and venture capital investors on the sale to Sweco. Futureproofed is a leader in the development and marketing of digital carbon management tools, including a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for measuring, reducing and reporting CO2 emissions. It does projects globally in Belgium, France, Sweden, Spain and many other countries.
