Srinagar- Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan on Thursday to discuss the issue of Kashmiri prisoners in J&K and outside jails, party spokesperson said. .
He said that the Apni Party is setting up two committees each headed by a state president from the Valley and Jammu to collect details about these prisoners, so they are seeking the release of the prisoners.
“Apni party president and senior vice-president met the LG at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar and asked him to formally submit the list of prisoners and take necessary initiatives to consider their release,” the spokesperson said.
“The leaders asked LG Sinha to investigate these cases on humanitarian grounds so that these youths get a chance to start a normal and peaceful life with their families.” He added.
