Acting as an ambassador for United 24, Gavasalia has revealed a €200 worth of Demna-designed t-shirts for sale. United24 is a charity project overseen by Ukrainian President Zelensky that focuses on renovating critical facilities such as roads, bridges, hospitals and schools that are critical to returning Ukrainians to their homes.

Taking to Instagram, the Spanish label wrote, “Balenciaga supports the United 24 platform to help refugees. A t-shirt has been produced with 100% of net profits being donated to the direction of rebuilding Ukraine.

Fearing the cause, Zelensky expressed gratitude for Gvasalia’s contribution to Ukraine in the midst of their terrible war with Russia.

“Thank you for your support, it is very valuable. It is very important that we keep the world’s attention on Ukraine to help rebuild the country,” Zelensky noted.

Gvasalia, himself a refugee from war-torn Georgia, created T-shirts featuring a ‘Glory to Ukraine’ print, the blue-and-yellow Ukrainian flag and a QR code that allows one to donate through United24. Shipping begins on August 26, 2022.
