Albion stars have wished teammate Alexis McAllister the best of luck ahead of the World Cup final.

Mac Allister, who plays for the national team of Argentina, will face the current world champion France in the climax of the ongoing tournament in Qatar.

A video shared on social media shows some of McAllister’s Brighton teammates wishing him well before the game.

Albion captain Lewis Dunk wished him luck and said: “Bring that trophy home.”

Billy Gilmour said the whole team was behind him, while Solly March said: “I hope the World Cup winner’s medal goes to Brighton.”

Julio Enciso, originally from Paraguay – which borders Argentina – expressed his best wishes in Spanish.

“I hope you do very well and bring the trophy back to us all,” he said.

Mc Allister scored for Argentina in their group match against Poland, helping the team to top spot in the group stages of the tournament.

Argentina and France will go toe-to-toe in their quest for World Cup glory this afternoon at 3pm.

Argentina’s team is captained by Lionel Messi, who is playing in his fifth and final World Cup, as he looks to cap off an illustrious career with victory in Qatar.
