Airtel’s 5G network is coming to Hyderabad, Mahindra’s Chakan plant | Jobs Vox

Airtel today announced that it is bringing its 5G Plus network to Hyderabad. The announcement comes a day after the company started rolling out its 5G Plus network in Lucknow. In Hyderabad, Airtel’s 5G network will be available at key locations and transport hubs, including metro rail, railway stations and bus terminal. Airtel, through a press release today, announced that people in Hyderabad will now be able to access 5G connectivity while traveling on the Hyderabad Metro Rail, at Secunderabad and Kacheguda railway stations and Imlibun bus station. In addition to this, Airtel’s 4G subscribers will be able to access its 5G Plus network at other locations across the city including Begumpet, Banjara Hills, Jubilee hills, Hi-tech City, Gachibowli, Bovenplli, Kompalli, RTC Cross Roads, Koti, Malakpet , Charminar, Habsiguda , Uppal, Nagole, Kupatpalli and Miyapur. “I am delighted to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in the city which will touch the lives of millions of commuters every day while traveling on different modes of transport. Airtel customers can experience an ultra-fast network and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than current 4G speeds while on the move,” Shivan Bhargava, CEO, Bharti Airtel, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana said on the occasion.

Besides bringing its 5G network to Hyderabad, Airtel also announced that it has entered into a partnership with Tech Mahindra. As part of this partnership, the two companies will deploy Airtel’s ‘5G for Enterprise’ solution at Mahindra’s Chakan manufacturing facility, which in turn would make it India’s first 5G car manufacturing unit.

Airtel said it is testing use cases and delivering spectrum with multiple partners and across multiple locations as part of its 5G for business offerings and this deployment is the result of one such collaboration.
