New Delhi, 15 December 2022: Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), India’s leading communications solutions provider and Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to deploy the ‘5G for Enterprise’ solution at Mahindra’s Chakan manufacturing facility, making it India’s first car manufacturing unit with 5G technology.
The ‘5G for Business’ solution has significantly improved Chakan’s network connectivity, resulting in improved software flashing speeds, a critical operation for all vehicle shipments. Incredibly high speeds and ultra-low latency now allow managers to undertake multiple software flashing sessions in parallel, resulting in reduced operation time. Furthermore, computerized vision-based inspection is now fully automated resulting in improved paint quality. Airtel is leading the 5G deployment in India. The company is testing use cases and spectrum delivery with multiple partners and in several locations as part of its #5GforBusiness offering.
