AAP orders LG to recover money spent on ‘Political Advertisement’. | Jobs Vox

The Aam Aadmi Party has defied Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena’s order to fine the party Rs 97 crore for publishing political advertisements as government advertisements.

AAP said the Bharatiya Janta Party was using all these tactics to disturb the people of Delhi and asked why each state targeted them when the government released advertisements in other states, PTI reported.

Earlier, Delhi L.G. Vinay Kumar Saxena directed his general secretary to recover Rs 97 crore from the Aam Aadmi Party for political advertisements published as government advertisements.

The order comes after the AAP government violated the 2015 Supreme Court order, the 2016 Delhi HC order and the 2016 CCRGA order.

The fight between the Delhi LG and the current AAP government is not new and has been going on since the time of former LG Anil Baijal. The two continue to accuse each other of obstructing the legislature.

Earlier in September, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia claimed that he had been “falsely defamed” as his name was not included in the original chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with Delhi’s liquor policy case. Sisodia said the BJP had developed a liquor scam story and raided his residence, ANI reported.
